Engineering Plastic PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) is a high-performance thermoplastic known for its excellent mechanical properties, superior thermal stability, and unmatched chemical resistance. This advanced plastic is widely used in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial manufacturing, thanks to its exceptional reliability in extreme environments.
Key Properties of Engineering PEEK Plastic
High Strength and Durability: PEEK offers impressive mechanical strength, ensuring long-lasting performance even in high-stress conditions.
Thermal Stability: Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C, PEEK maintains its integrity even in the most extreme heat.
Chemical Resistance: It is highly resistant to chemicals, oils, and solvents, making it suitable for challenging applications.
Low Friction: PEEK’s low friction and wear properties make it an excellent choice for components such as bearings, seals, and gears.
Engineering Plastic PEEK Uses:
PEEK is trusted in industries requiring durable, high-performance materials. Some of the most common applications include:
Aerospace: Used for engine components, seals, and other critical parts that need to perform under extreme conditions.
Medical Devices: Due to its biocompatibility, PEEK is used in spinal implants, dental devices, and surgical instruments.
Automotive: PEEK is employed for high-performance parts in engines, pumps, and transmissions.
Industrial Manufacturing: PEEK is used in bearings, seals, gaskets, and electrical insulation, offering superior performance even in harsh environments.
Engineering Plastic PEEK Grades:
At ARKPEEK, we offer a variety of engineering PEEK grades to meet your specific needs:
Standard PEEK Grades: Used for most industrial applications requiring high strength, wear resistance, and chemical stability.
Glass-Filled PEEK: Enhanced strength and stiffness for high-load applications.
Carbon-Filled PEEK: Improved wear resistance and lower friction for demanding mechanical applications.
